Unarmed Security

 This state-approved Unarmed Security Guard Training course is designed to meet the requirements set forth by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance for individuals seeking to obtain an unarmed security guard license. The program provides foundational knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of an unarmed security officer in a professional and responsible manner. 

 Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Understand the role and responsibilities of an unarmed security officer
   
• Demonstrate knowledge of Tennessee state laws and regulations governing security personnel
   
• Apply ethical and professional conduct in various security situations
   
• Identify and respond appropriately to emergency scenarios
   
• Observe, report, and document incidents accurately
   
• Communicate effectively with the public, clients, and law enforcement

• Legal authority and limitations
   
• Use of force and conflict resolution
   
• Patrol techniques and procedures
   
• Public relations and customer service
   
• Emergency response and first aid basics
   
• Report writing and documentation
   
• Professionalism and ethics in security

 4 hours (as required by the state of Tennessee) 

• Must be at least 18 years of age
   
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
   
• Must not have any disqualifying criminal convictions

 Successful completion of this course qualifies the student to apply for the Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard License through the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. A certificate of completion will be provided upon passing the final assessment. 

 This course is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in the private security industry, as well as current security personnel seeking to meet state licensing requirements.
