Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED Providers Course

Course Overview

 The Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED Providers Course is a vital, instructor-led training program designed to prepare participants to respond confidently and effectively to medical emergencies involving infants and children. Following the latest national guidelines, this course is ideal for childcare providers, teachers, parents, camp staff, and anyone responsible for the care and safety of children. 

Course Objectives:

 

  • Recognize and respond to common pediatric emergencies including breathing problems, choking, allergic reactions, and sudden cardiac arrest.
     
  • Learn and perform high-quality CPR for infants and children.
     
  • Safely and effectively use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on pediatric patients.
     
  • Administer basic first aid for injuries such as cuts, burns, sprains, fractures, and head injuries specific to children.
     
  • Understand child-specific considerations in emergency care, including emotional support and age-appropriate communication.
     
  • Review legal and ethical responsibilities when providing emergency care to minors.

Duration

 Approximately 4–6 hours (may vary based on class size and participant experience) 

Certification

 Participants will receive a certification card valid for two years upon successful completion.
